Finance Director

Help Build the Future of Renewable Energy

Location: Copenhagen, Østerbro, Denmark

At Green Therma, we are on a mission to decarbonize one of the world’s largest and most overlooked sectors: heat.

Our proprietary closed-loop geothermal technology enables cities and industries to access reliable baseload renewable heat without many of the traditional risks associated with geothermal energy. As we scale internationally, we are building not just a technology company — but a new infrastructure platform for the energy transition.

We are now looking for an exceptional Finance Director to join our leadership team and work directly with our CFO.

This is not a traditional finance role. You will help shape the financial foundations of a company transitioning from technology development to international project deployment, infrastructure financing, and institutional investment.

Your Mission
As Finance Director, you will lead the development of Green Therma’s finance function while supporting fundraising, project financing, corporate development, and strategic decision-making across the company.

You will be working closely with the CFO and management team, and you will interact with investors, banks, lenders, auditors, advisors, Board members, and colleagues across engineering, commercial, and project development.

What You Will Be Doing: Build and Lead the Finance Function

  • Lead accounting, FP&A, controlling, and financial reporting across the group
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Deliver monthly management reporting and rolling 12-month liquidity forecasts
  • Coordinate annual reporting, audits, and statutory filings
  • Develop scalable financial governance, reporting structures, and project controlling
  • Build the Finance Function of Tomorrow
  • Design scalable finance processes supporting international growth
  • Drive AI-enabled automation across finance operations
  • Improve financial transparency, project reporting, and decision support
  • Help define the roadmap for a modern, data-driven finance organization

Strategic Business Partner

  • Support commercial and strategic initiatives through financial analysis
  • Prepare Board, investor and management presentations
  • Contribute to corporate strategy and long-term planning
  • Support the development of future investment structures and international growth initiatives

Who You Are
We are looking for someone who combines analytical excellence with commercial judgement and enjoys building organizations, not simply maintaining them.

Your background may include around 5 years experience in: Investment Banking, Private Equity, Infrastructure Investing, Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Services, Renewable Energy, High-growth technology companies

You are equally comfortable establishing financial control and scalable processes, building sophisticated financial models, and presentations to investors or banks.

Why Green Therma?
You will join a highly ambitious climate technology company at a pivotal stage of growth.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside an experienced international leadership team
  • Build a modern finance organization from the ground up
  • Play a key role in fundraising and infrastructure financing
  • Work directly with leading investors and financial institutions
  • Help scale a breakthrough renewable energy company internationally
  • Put your fingerprints on one of the most exciting opportunities in the energy transition

If you are excited about combining finance, infrastructure, and climate technology — and want to help build something that matters — we would love to hear from you.
